Ford Posts April Sales

214,695. That is how many vehicles Ford sold in the month of April. According to, this total number includes 140,762 retail sales, 70,000 F-Series trucks sold, including the Super Duty and the F-150 Raptor, 73,933 fleet vehicles sold, 67,309 SUVs sold, and just under 50,000 cars sold. The Ford SUVs were up three percent posting another April record, which included over 5,000 Ford Expeditions, posting a 13 percent gain, over 12,000 Ford Edges sold, which was a six percent gain, and over 25,000 Ford Escapes sold, a seven percent increase from the previous April. The 2018 Ford Expedition will be released this fall.

Out of the Ford F-150s sold, close to 70 percent of them were equipped with EcoBoost engines, and out of the Super Duty trucks, the higher-trims like the King Ranch, the Lariat, and the Platinum were the most popular with the addition of the new diesel powertrain.
